Catamaran excusion to Bol on the Island of Brac. Leaves split 8.30 am on Mon, Wed and Fri (9.00am on Sun). Returns 18.15pm on Mon, Wed, Fri (19.00 Sun). The trip goes via Hvar and journey lasts approx 2hrs.
Seems to be the quickest way to get to Bol. A ferry runs daily to Supetar on Brac, but that is the other side of the Island to Bol, and apparently buses across the Island are note frequent and take over an hour anyway.
The day trip gave us enough time to do all we wanted!
Catamaran excusion to the Island of Hvar. Leaves split weekdays 8.30 am Returns 19.15 pm. The journey lasts approx 1hr.
The day trip gave us long enough to spend time on the beach, visit a few museums/churches + climb to the castle above the town of Hvar. As well as time for eating!
The tour was arranged through the people who also do one of the Split Walking Tours. If there are 3 or more people interested, they will arrange transport/entrance to Krka National Park on any given day. This was good for us because the bigger operators were only doing tours to Krka once a week.
The journey was about 1.5 hours each way. We had from 11.00 am to 4.00 pm at the national park.
We opted for the circular walk tour through the wooded areas (paths, wooden walkways and bridges) around the Skradinski waterfall and then bathed at the foot of the falls afterwards - rather than one of the several boat trips that were available. The scenery was breathtaking. One of the highlights of our holiday!
We opted for the 7.00 pm tour, after first attempting our own tour using the lonely planet guide. Very informative, really felt we got much more insight into the history of Split by doiing the tourist thing!
